Prince Harry Awards Bearded Military Hero

Neil Heritage lost both his legs in a suicide bombing in Iraq, and getting this award from Prince Harry truly meant a lot to him. Neil is not the kind of guy to let things get him down. He rowed across the Atlantic, and nearly climbed the Matterhorn, despite losing his legs.

It was therefore no surprise that he was being awarded by none other than Prince Harry, who himself spent time in the military in Iraq.

There was only one thing that made this awarding ceremony a little unusual, and that was the way Harry awarded Neil. He grabbed hold of his beard so that he could award him the medal at the inaugural Endeavour Fund Awards. prince harry awardsWould you feel uncomfortable? Not Neil. He laughed it off.

Prince Harry is often getting in trouble for doing things that are slightly un-royal, but others seem to like his cheekiness. There’s nothing wrong with a slightly more relatable member of the royal family. Especially since his brother Will and Princess Kate seem like the absolute perfect couple.

The ambulance drone is capable of saving lives with an integrated defibrillator. The goal is to improve existing emergency infrastructure with a network of drones. This new type of drones can go over 100 km/h and reaches its destination within 1 minute, which increases chance of survival from 8% to 80%! This drone folds up and becomes a toolbox for all kind of emergency supplies. Future implementations will also serve other use cases such as drowning, diabetes, respiratory issues and traumas.

All Female Flight Crew Land in a Country They Aren’t Allowed To Drive In

These are the first all-female flight crew on Royal Brunei Airlines, a airline with plans to make a difference.

Royal Brunei Airlines is the national airline of Brunei. These three woman are Captain Sharifah Czarena, Senior First Officer Sariana and Senior First Officer Dk Nadiah. This picture was taken just before they took off on a flight that landed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

In Saudi Arabia there are many laws that restrict women, one of them is that women are not allowed to drive. Other laws restrict them from walking on the street without a chaperone, speaking to men they’re not related to, trying on clothes while swimming, competing in sports, swimming and even buying a Barbie.

Unfortunetly, that is what life is like for women in Saudi Arabia.

Royal Brunei Airline is planning on making a difference though. They said, “We are the Nation’s ‘Generation with a Vision’; we are the tomorrow,”

Here is another picture they added on their Facebook page that show off all their female pilots. femalepilots

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Takes Time of Filming to Surprise a Huge Fan at Hospital

A mom would do anything for her child, and this mom did not take ‘no’ for an answer.
While Dwayne Johnson was filming Baywatch in Savannah, Georgia on Saturday, he took some time off to visit the Pediatric Specialty Children’s Ward at a nearby hospital. After his visit, he heard of a mom who was pleading the production stuff for Dwayne to come visit her son, Christopher, who was just past the age of the children’s ward, and was therefore in the main hospital.
When Dwayne heard of this, he immediatly called his producers and told them that he was going to be late for filming that day.
The smile on the Boy’s face and his mom’s happiness was beyond anything Dwayne was expecting.

He wrote the following on Instagram:
“So I called an audible and went to visit Christopher. Glad we did… While I was visiting the Pediatric Specialty Ward surprising the kids, I got word from my team that there was a mom who was pleading with our production staff, that I go upstairs to her son’s room to give him a much needed big surprise. Since he’s older he’s in the main hospital and not in pediatric care.
We were shooting #BAYWATCH scenes outside of the hospital, but instead of heading back to shoot I called the audible, put production on hold and went upstairs to see this young man.
I walked in and his smile lit up the room! And I mean lit that room up!;) We talked for a while about his family, his school and how hard he’s working to eventually graduate AND we talked about how COOL all his scars are from his multiple surgeries – from his head to his chest – those scars are badges of honor and the reminder of how beyond tough this kid is.
Right before I left his mom looked at him and said, ‘Christopher I can’t give you anything, but I’m so happy I could give you this today…’ and she started to breakdown, which was captured in this pic.
Made me think to give so much credit to these parents who would do anything to take their kid’s pain away and ANYTHING to bring a smile to their faces. As a papa bear I understand.
Glad this mom brought a smile to Christopher’s face. And glad I got a chance to shake the hand of this very strong and inspiring young man.
Stay strong Christopher and show them scars with pride. You’re the man! ~ DJ”

When I surprised Maleak at the Pediatric Specialty Ward in Savannah, he ran into my arms and gave me a huge hug. Now I’m not just talkin’ about any kind of hug… this boy gave me a BEAR HUG. He’s already stronger than I’ll ever be, but physically he gave me the hug of all hugs. Trust me, I’m a hugger so I know. 😂 So good to spend some time with Maleak and his mama. Talked about everything from my movies, wrestling to how important it is that he eat all of his food. Let’s get that appetite up buddy. I say it often and its true. I’m a lucky lucky dude to be able to do what I do and reactions and meetings like this one with Maleak will always be the best part of fame. You stay strong big man. Keep that smile on your face, keep giving out those bear hugs and make sure you’re eatin’ all your food! All of it;) 💯👊🏾💪🏾 Your bud ~ DJA video posted by therock (@therock) on

Starbucks Will Donate all Its Leftover Food To The Needy

In a new program which they call FoodShare, Starbucks teams up with Food Donation Connection and Feeding America to donate all of its food that it doesn’t sell to food banks. Starbucks claims that by the end of its first year in the program they will donate approximately 5 million meals. That’s a lot of meals!

More than 7,000 branches across the US will be involved in the program. Food Donation Connection and Feeding America will pick up unsold food from these Starbucks and redistribute them.

Incredible! We hope many other food chains follow in their footsteps and help feed the needy. Why throw away food when there are so many people who are going hungry on the streets.
